When it comes to photography projects, I don’t only take photos – I create the photo. This means that I spend time making something of which I will then capture the visuals…
The below are some of my previous photography projects:
This project took almost a year to release, from developing the idea to implementation and final image touches. In the eyes of many of my friends was a weird, gross and unusual project and can’t blame them for thinking that as I cultivated and photographed mold. However, whenever I showed the final results I have never witnessed a disgust or received unpleasant comments on the final images. This project consisted in growing shapes through the natural course of mold decomposition (you can find out more about the project here).
Another one consisted of allowing two potatoes to grow old and take a photo of them interacting, which I then called potato love.
For my new project, I will be working on a new (what I call) organic sculpture project involving the work of animals (spiders, frogs, birds…). I’m still developing the idea, but if you’d like to take part try to capture the work of an animal (should have a shape) and take part of the Instagram group: Organic Photography Projects
